An Early Birthday Gift!

Been grumbling about my phone lately - battery easily drained, scratchy audio, and it’s been through a lot of (literally) rough times! (hehehehe)

Since this NOKIA e71 came out, I’ve been wishing to have one. What really caught my eyes on this “toy” are the design and the QWERTY keyboard! I’ve been wishing to get a Blackberry or a Palm Treo later. But this toy caught me by surprise. And my wife, Amy, knows that! tsk! tsk! tsk!

So last Sunday, we went to check on this unit at Singtel and eventually ended up upgrading my almost-2-year-old plan to a new one, just to get a good bargain on the phone. I traded up my not-so-old Nokia 5310 XpressMusic plus a S$100 voucher from Singtel and so we got a S$250 discount! So we ended up paying S$198 for a two-year plan! Whew!

It’s rock-solid! I think, it’s even thinner than iPhone (check this image from BoyGenius review site)!Though, not a touch-screen gear, but I am definitely very sold-out with the very sleek design and (again!) those QWERTY keys!

Earlier, my son, EJ, was asking if what was wrong with my 5310? Why did I trade it in (because he wants it!)? I told him that the audio quality was not that good anymore. Sometimes I have to redial the number I was trying to call because I just couldn’t hear the other end.

So he told me, “Pa, then something is wrong with your ears and not your phone, lah!”

    LOL! you need to see an EENT. right? happy new phone. don’t ask me what’s mine coz it’s the obsolete one. am dying to have a new one too not the sleek types of course but at least sth a lil bit nice that it can do more than sending sms and calling. :D
